Why Should We Write!

YES! We all should write. Even if nobody reads, we should write because writing is the best way to learn, teach and share knowledge. Its not only the best way to express ideas (even the craziest ones!!) but also the best way to challenge ourselves.

Back in 2004 I first learnt about blogs and I created my first blog called “Lonely Planet” in Blogger but due to my lack of experience in writing, I could not progress. Then again in 2006 I created another Blogger blog called “Tech Phoenix” where I thought I would share my technical knowledge with the aspiring software professionals but I became inconsistent for not having enough organized content.

In mid 2007 I came to know about CMS software “Mambo” and “Joomla”, late 2007 I started researching on Drupal; another revolutionary CMS. Early 2008 (around February-March) I created my first WordPress.COM blog and also came to know about self hosted blogs created using the free and open source software offered by WordPress.ORG and the fascinating world of WordPress plugins!! Fortunately enough my employer at that time was concentrating a lot on getting WEB 2.0 projects which inevitably included blogs but not all of them were WordPress blogs, they included Movable Type blogs, TypePad blogs, also blogs offered by Drupal and Joomla. After working with several blog platforms till date WordPress remains my favorite because of it’s user friendliness and the support of super strong community of developers.

June 2008 I booked my own domain and decided to set up my own self hosted blog. Since then I attempted many times to setup and run it in a righteous and regular manner but sometimes work pressure and sometimes my own laziness came into the way. WordPress kept releasing new versions and I kept changing my blog’s design but no actual writing happened.

Finally today 14th June, 2009 I have finished my first ever article and published here! I’m not sure about the future of my writing but at least I have started and hope to continue.

Was my story inspiring enough? Then start writing people!
